Travel ICU RN - $2,136 per week

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Martinsburg, West Virginia. The assignment begins 11/02/2026, lasts 13 weeks, and involves 36 hours per week on 12‑hour night shifts. As an ICU Travel Nurse you will evaluate and monitor critically ill patients, provide direct bedside care, document and follow physician‑directed orders, assess and implement care plans, delegate to other staff, and educate and support patient families. Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
• Order and evaluate diagnostic tests.
• Take samples for lab work, order corresponding lab work and interpret reports.
• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment, and interpret and record electronic displays.
• Ensure proper placement and functioning of catheters, leads and tubing.
• Communicate patients' conditions to family members.

Requirements

• 1‑2 years recent acute care experience.
• ACLS certification.
• BLS certification.
• NIH certification (e.g., NIH Stroke Scale).
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods; bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty.
• Capable of lifting 20 lbs routinely; patient handling may require up to 50 lbs.
• Tolerance for exposure to chemicals or infectious diseases.
• Ability to manage confused, agitated, or uncooperative patients.
• Additional certifications may be required before starting the assignment.
