Travel ICU RN - $2,009 per week

About the Role

AMN Healthcare Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN for a 15-week ICU assignment in Rapid City, South Dakota. This role involves delivering critical care in a facility with a collaborative culture and advanced technology.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor critically ill patients
• Operate life-support equipment
• Document care in electronic medical record (EMR) systems
• Care for complex ICU patients ranging from surgical, medical, cardiac (preferred), neuro, and trauma
• Manage diagnoses including but not limited to: ARDS, MI, CVA/TIA, COVID, s/p cardiac cath, post-surgical, and multiple system trauma – heavy trauma population

Required Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• Valid South Dakota RN license or Compact RN license
• Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certifications
• At least 1.5 to 2 years of recent ICU experience
• Epic EMR proficiency
• SSN and DOB required for submission
• 1 reference in the last 12 months from a job worked within the last 5 years
• Permanent address over 250 miles from Rapid City, SD
• Skills checklist completed within the last 12 months
• Previous travel experience required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with IV medications, ventilator management, telemetry, and strong critical thinking
• Cardiac experience
• Familiarity with Impella, intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP), and continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT)
• ICU unit strongly prefers 48-hour contracts

Pay

• Pay rate: $1959.00 – $2059.00 per week
• Based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined
