About the role

Join a 30‑bed critical illness recovery hospital located on the fourth floor of a major hospital in Memphis, TN. The unit specializes in helping critically ill patients regain independence in breathing, speaking, eating, walking, and thinking, providing care for cardiac conditions, infectious diseases, medically complex cases, neurologic conditions, pulmonary and ventilator liberation, renal disorders, wound care, and brain injury. Average patient length of stay is 28 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care for patients with cardiac, infectious, medically complex, neurologic, pulmonary, renal, wound, and brain‑injury conditions.
• Manage ventilator and tracheostomy care.
• Titrate critical drips (e.g., dopamine, standard ICU medications).
• Maintain patient‑to‑nurse ratio (target 1:4, maximum 1:5).
• Support patient recovery goals related to breathing, speaking, eating, walking, and thinking.

Requirements

• Active RN license (compact accepted).
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience.
• BLS and ACLS certification (copies required).
• At least one professional reference from work history.
• Experience with ventilators, tracheostomies, and long‑term acute care (LTAC) ICU patients.

Pay

Pay rate: $1,941.00 – $2,041.00 per week (based on 12‑hour shifts, 36 hours per week).

Schedule

13‑week travel assignment, 36 hours per week, 12‑hour day shifts.
