About the role
ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN for a 13-week contract in the Intensive Care Unit at a facility in Wilson, North Carolina. The position starts ASAP with a schedule of 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM (12-hour night shifts), guaranteed 36 hours per week, and weekend hours required (12 hours every other or every third weekend). Employment type: Travel.
The Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit will provide direct care for adult patients, focusing on critical conditions such as COPD, ARF, DKA, Sepsis, and Shock. The nurse will utilize advanced equipment including cardiac monitors and IV pumps, while documenting care through Meditech EMR.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to emergencies.
- Administer medications and manage critical drips like vasopressors and sedation.
- Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to enhance patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Minimum 1.5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in critical care settings.
- Current RN license in North Carolina.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
