Travel ICU Registered Nurse - $2,845 per week

About the role

Medical Solutions is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a 13-week assignment in Middletown, Connecticut. The position offers 48 hours per week, 12-hour shifts, and a duration of 13 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Work in an ICU setting
• Assist with patient care including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and performing procedures
• Collaborate with charge nurses and nurse aides
• Interpret and respond to medical equipment readings such as EKGs and ABGs
• Participate in the care of patients with various conditions including CVA, TPA, AAA, MI, hypertension, overdose, detoxing, and more
• Support the hospitalist or intensivist team as needed
• Provide coverage for tele or IMCU assignments if required
• Perform tasks such as preoperative preparation, postoperative care, and managing drips and ventilators

Requirements

• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Experience in an ICU setting preferred
• Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Qualifications

• Current RN license in good standing
• Passing scores on relevant certifications
