About the role
The ICU Registered Nurse will provide high-quality care to critically ill patients in a 14-bed Intensive Care Unit. The position requires a comprehensive understanding of patient conditions, effective communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patient conditions, including critical care interventions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Manage ventilators and other advanced medical equipment.
- Provide guidance and support to nursing assistants on the unit.
- Respond to rapid responses and code blue situations as required.
- Participate in interdisciplinary care team meetings.
Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of Vermont.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience, including 3 years in ICU.
- Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS (mandatory prior to start).
- Experience with EPIC documentation system from within the past 2 years is required.
- PREFERRED: CCRN, AHA PALS.

Pay & Schedule
The Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
