Travel ICU Registered Nurse - $2,415 per week

About the role

Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU for a 13‑week assignment in Peoria, Illinois, starting October 12, 2026. The position requires 36 hours per week on 12‑hour day shifts in a neuro ICU, providing advanced care for critically ill patients with strokes, ventriculostomies, post‑craniectomy, and related conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced patient care for critically ill patients (strokes, ventriculostomies, post‑craniectomy, etc.)
• Troubleshoot ventilators and manage arterial and central lines
• Read and interpret Phillips telemetry strips
• Participate in unit‑specific orientation
• Titrate drips following physician orders
• Manage acute stroke care and post‑craniectomy care
• Float rotation may be required

Requirements

• Valid Illinois RN license or active application
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU clinical experience
• Submission of last four digits of SSN
• Understanding of OSF drug‑free policy
• Compliance with local call‑off policies
