Travel ICU Registered Nurse - $2,155 per week

The Good Life MedStaff is a travel nursing agency connecting compassionate caregivers who love adventure with amazing opportunities. They are seeking a travel nurse RN ICU for a 13‑week assignment in Rapid City, South Dakota, starting 10/05/2026, 36 hours per week on 12‑hour night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide ICU care for complex patients (surgical, medical, cardiac, neuro, trauma) including ARDS, MI, CVA/TIA, COVID, post‑cardiac cath, post‑surgical, multi‑system trauma.
• Float to EDPCU as needed.
• Administer IV medications (vasopressors, sedatives, paralytics), manage hemodynamic lines, perform proning, oversee ventilator management and telemetry.
• Demonstrate strong critical thinking, assessment skills, teamwork, and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with critically ill patients.
• Experience with Impella, IABP, and CRRT is strongly preferred.
• Perform peripheral blood draws only; ICU CRNs place all midlines.
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:1, 1:2, or 1:3 depending on acuity.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience (excluding travel) is most preferred; candidates with 1.5 years ICU experience (excluding travel) plus significant RN experience outside ICU may be considered with management approval.

Qualifications

• Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications (TNCC required).
• Cardiac ICU experience (CABG/TAVR 24‑48 hrs post‑op) is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work with fresh open heart cases only if experienced and facility approves.
