About the Role
This role involves providing specialized critical care services within a multi-acuity unit that manages patients with conditions such as sepsis, respiratory failure, post-operative complications, and COVID-19. The RN will deliver primary nursing care across a range of patient needs, supporting ICU, PCU, and Med/Surg populations.
Responsibilities
- Provide primary nursing care in a multi-acuity unit (ICU, PCU, Med/Surg)
- Read cardiac strips and monitor ICU patients on bedside and remote cardiac monitors
- Float to EC MST, Pediatric unit, and West Campus ICU/PCU to maintain competency (float may be required with two hours' notice)
- Manage ventilator support including Vents, BiPAP, and CPaP
Schedule
- Night shifts, 12-hour shifts (07:00 PM–07:00 AM or 07:30 PM–07:30 AM)
- Minimum of 36 hours per week
- Duration: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license
- ACLS and BLS certifications
- At least 2 years of ICU experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with titrating drips such as sedation, vasopressors, and insulin
- Proficiency in reading 12-lead EKGs
- Proficiency in managing ventilator support including Vents, BiPAP, and CPaP
Unit Information
- Staffing ratio: 1:2 in ICU, 1:4 in PCU, and 1:5–6 in Med/Surg
- Nurse aides support patient care
- Hospital orientation and unit-specific orientation included
