About the role
We’re seeking talented healthcare professionals whose adventure game is as strong as their clinical game. This position offers flexibility, high pay, and an opportunity for an ICU nurse with 24 months of experience to work in Arizona. BLS and ACLS certifications are required. Previous travel experience is preferred.
Banner Thunderbird Medical Center has served the Northwest Valley for more than 25 years, focusing on excellent patient care. The 890,000-square-foot acute-care facility recently completed a $290 million expansion, adding a new main lobby, heart and vascular center, state-of-the-art surgical suites, a 200-bed patient tower with all-private rooms, and a new Emergency department. Banner Thunderbird is now a Level I Adult Trauma Center for patients 15 and older, providing total care for traumatic injuries such as car crash injuries, gunshot wounds, stab wounds, and traumatic brain injuries.
Responsibilities
This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing practice standards. Responsibilities include:
- Utilizing specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills to assess data and plan, provide, and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients.
- Accountability for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others under their direction.
Qualifications
- 24 months of ICU nursing experience.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Previous travel experience preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
- Professional certification preferred.

Pay
Estimated pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined. Pay is based on bill rate at the time the job was posted; bill rates can change frequently and without notice.
