About the role
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in Evansville, Indiana, is seeking qualified healthcare professionals to provide specialized care for patients with complex medical, neurological, cardiac, gastrointestinal, and renal conditions. The role involves caring for a diverse patient population, including those with sepsis, trauma, and surgical needs (outside of fresh open heart surgery), in a 24-bed unit. The position offers an opportunity to work with a patient ratio of 1:1 to 1:3.
Responsibilities
- Provide care for a complex patient population across various acuity levels
- Manage a patient load of 1 to 3 patients
- Adhere to hospital protocols and standards of care
- Participate in float rotation as required
Requirements
- Valid certifications, applicable education, and degree requirements
- At least 0 years of experience in a clinical setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional certifications or clinical experience related to intensive care nursing
Schedule
- 12-hour day shifts
- Minimum of 36 hours per week
