About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by ensuring compliance with the nursing care plan. This RN role involves supervising Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants while fostering a safe and effective environment for both patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission.
• Formulate individualized care plans based on assessment data and collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely in the medical record.
• Engage in patient rehabilitation programs and provide direct patient care, prioritizing education for patients and their families.
• Initiate discharge planning from the day of admission and facilitate patient teaching in anticipation of discharge.
• Communicate relevant information regarding patient status changes to ensure continuity of care.
• Provide training and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel while fostering teamwork and morale within the unit.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and promote a culture of safety within the team.
• Identify and pursue opportunities for professional development and continuing education.

Requirements

• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS certification required prior to first shift (CIRH only).
• Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired.

Schedule

This position involves day shifts with a 3x12 hour schedule.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
