Travel ICU Registered Nurse - $1,848 per week

About the role

ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN for an ICU assignment in Sylvania, Ohio. This is a 13‑week contract position requiring 36 hours per week on day shift (12‑hour shifts). The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for maintaining the delivery of quality care by ensuring that the nursing care plan is effectively implemented, supervising Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants, and contributing to a safe and nurturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team to identify teaching needs related to diagnoses.
• Provide timely patient information and updates during team meetings.
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in a timely fashion.
• Participate in the patient rehabilitation program, implementing nursing processes focused on education and care quality.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient education from the day of admission.
• Communicate changes in patient status to ensure continuity of care.
• Supervise and train ancillary nursing personnel.
• Maintain personal and environmental safety in accordance with hospital policies.
• Contribute to a positive work environment and participate in team‑building activities.
• Assume charge responsibility as requested after orientation.
• Pursue professional development through continuing education and self‑study.

Requirements

• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS Certification required prior to first shift (for specific cases).
• Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience preferred.
• Required experience in ICU and Critical Care.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
