About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN) upholds the delivery of quality care by ensuring the nursing care plan is adhered to. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees while maintaining a focus on patient and employee safety.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission.
  • Develop an individualized plan of care based on assessment data.
  • Identify patient and family teaching needs and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments and interventions.
  • Participate in the patient rehabilitation program and ensure quality patient care.
  • Initiate discharge planning from the day of admission.
  • Communicate changes in patient status to care providers to support continuity of care.
  • Supervise and provide direction to ancillary nursing personnel.
  • Promote a safe work environment in line with hospital policies.
  • Engage in professional development and maintain effective use of time and staff.

Requirements

  • BLS Certification Required Prior to First Shift
  • ACLS Required Prior to First Shift (CIRH ONLY)
  • Minimum of Two (2) Years Bedside Clinical Experience
  • ICU Experience Preferred

Schedule

This position operates on a Day Shift schedule, working 3x12 hour shifts.
