Responsibilities
- ICU/PCU Float position
- Monitor and measure/interprets own strips
- Float between 4th, 5th or 6th floors or to the ED Holds for patient holds
- May float to MS/Tele floors as needed (in order to not call off)
Requirements
- Years of experience required: 3 years
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS & NIHSS
- Ratios: 1:1, 1:2 for ICU level acuity, 1:3-4 for PCU level acuity
Common diagnoses/Types of patients
- Sepsis
- COPD
- Covid
- Pneumonia
- CRRT
- Arctic sun for post cardiac arrest patients
- Overflow from cath lab
- Post surgicals needing longer recovery
- Post interventional caths
- Some overflow impella, Swans and IABP
