Travel Hospice RN - $2,185 per week

Job Summary

Hospice Nurse Richmond, VA. This position involves providing specialized hospice care to geriatric patients within a home health setting. The role requires timely communication, documentation, and delivering compassionate end-of-life care in accordance with client standards and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized hospice care to geriatric patients within a home health setting
• Ensure timely communication and documentation
• Deliver compassionate end-of-life care in accordance with client standards and protocols
• Complete Start of Care (SOC) assessments in home health (OASIS experience required)
• Participate in on-call rotation as may be required

Required Qualifications

• Valid license in hand
• 1 year of recent hospice or home health experience
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Active driver's license and personal transportation
• OASIS experience required for staff completing Start of Care (SOC) assessments in home health
• Proficiency in HCHB (Homecare Homebase) required
• RTO (Requested Time Off) must be submitted at the time of application

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cultural awareness
• Death pronouncement
• Death/dying counseling
• Postmortem care
• Palliative sedation

Schedule

• Days shift, 8-hour hours, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Start date: 08/17/2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• On-call rotation may be required

Location & Travel Requirements

• Location: 2603 9 Mile Road, Richmond, VA 23223
• Accepted travel pairs, each to be assigned to their own territory
• Own transportation required
• Active driver's license and personal transportation required
