About the Role
MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Hospice Palliative Care RN for a travel nursing job in Marlton, New Jersey.
Requirements
- Active RN License
- Degree from accredited nursing program
- BLS Certifications
- Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care Hospice setting
- Other requirements to be determined by our client facility
Responsibilities
- Provide care for terminally ill patients, working with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals during the final stages of life
- Assess a patient's situation, as well as detect changes in symptoms, health or pain, and know when action is necessary
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs and subtle changes in a patient's health
- Remain sympathetic to a patient's needs, and be able to deal with people in various states of pain, trauma and tragedy
- Alleviate sudden symptoms of the disease's end phase
- Help relatives cope with the upcoming loss and provide post-mortem support
Schedule
- Duration: 13 weeks
- 40 hours per week
- 8 hour shifts, days
