About the role

Ultrasonographer General responsible for providing diagnostic ultrasound imaging services under the supervision of a radiologist. Performs abdominal, pelvic, gynecological, obstetrical, and transvaginal sonograms, as well as small‑parts scanning (thyroid, breast, scrotum). Conducts ultrasound‑guided procedures including biopsies, drainage, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and aspirations. Provides timely diagnostic service to inpatients and outpatients, maintains proficiency in various ultrasound procedures, and adheres to departmental protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform abdominal, pelvic, gynecological, obstetrical, and transvaginal sonograms
• Scan small parts: thyroid, breast, scrotum
• Execute ultrasound‑guided procedures: biopsies, drainage, thoracentesis, paracentesis, aspirations
• Deliver timely diagnostic imaging for inpatients and outpatients
• Maintain proficiency across all required ultrasound modalities
• Follow departmental protocols and quality standards

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited American Medical Association (AMA) school
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• State License as a general radiographer and/or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
• Completion of an accredited AMA‑approved program
• At least 1 year of experience (posting notes “minimum experience is 0 years” alongside the 1‑year requirement)

Schedule

• 7:00 am – 5:30 pm, four days per week
• Call rotation: every 4th Friday and Saturday, 11:00 pm – 7:00 am
• Minimum 40 hours per week

Pay

Pay package based on 10‑hour shifts and 40 hours/week (subject to confirmation) with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
