Travel Facility Technician

About the role

R+L Carriers has an immediate opportunity for a Traveling Facility Maintenance Technician at our Hagerstown, MD Service Center to perform preventative and routine maintenance throughout regional facilities. All travel expenses (fuel, hotel, meals) will be covered. A company service vehicle and large tools/equipment (ladders, welder, air compressor, gas saw, cutting torches) are provided. Extensive travel is required – 9 days on the road, 5 days off. R+L Carriers offers PTO after the first 90 calendar days of employment and an excellent benefits package that includes access to employee resorts.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance of overhead doors, dock plates, lighting, electrical, light concrete work
• Light plumbing repairs (fixtures, lines, drywall, painting, metal siding)
• Maintenance of offices, docks/warehouse, mechanic shops, fuel islands and other related stations
• Other duties as needed

Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years experience in electric (3‑phase), plumbing, welding, and carpentry
• Must own hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.)
• Good Motor Vehicle Record with no driving restrictions

Pay

Hourly rate is $26.00‑28.00 per hour.

Schedule

Extensive travel schedule – 9 days on the road, 5 days off.
