Travel ER RN - $3,069 per week

About the role

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for the Emergency Department in Newburgh, New York. This is an immediate travel nurse opening requiring 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse team to evaluate, triage, and implement care following physician instructions.
• Perform minor medical operations.
• Advise patients and families on illnesses or injuries.
• Plan long‑term care needs.
• Document medical history and check for allergies.
• Obtain patient vital signs.
• Monitor patients’ emotional and physical well‑being.
• Provide basic bedside care.
• Clean and bandage wounds.
• Provide IV therapy.
• Maintain supplies and medical equipment.
• Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies.

Requirements

• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• At least 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience (minimum 2 years referenced).
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty.
• Capable of lifting 20 lbs routinely and up to 50 lbs when moving or lifting patients.
• Good stress‑coping skills and ability to relate to patients of all ages and backgrounds.
• Additional certifications may be required before assignment.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 48.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

Start date: October 12, 2026; duration: 12 weeks; 48 hours per week; 12‑hour night shifts.
