Unit Information Unit Type: Emergency Room (ER) Certifications Required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC Trauma Level: Certified Stroke Center Number of Beds: 18 Patient Ratios: 1:4-5 based on acuity Responsibilities The Emergency Room Registered Nurse will be responsible for: Providing immediate assessment and treatment to patients presenting with acute medical conditions. Caring for patients across all age groups with a wide range of diagnoses, including chest and abdominal pain, orthopedic injuries, ENT emergencies, behavioral health, sepsis, and stroke. Administering medications and treatments as prescribed, including common drips such as antibiotics, narcotics, anti-emetics, and emergency medications. Collaborating with healthcare team members to deliver exceptional care and enhance patient outcomes. Participating in purposeful rounding and utilizing TeleHealth services as needed. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency department setting. Active certifications in ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, and workplace violence training (HSS Team). Strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and a passion for emergency medicine. Ability to work effectively as a team player in a high-acuity environment. Must possess a valid driver's license. Scheduling & Orientation Shift Length: 12 hours, night shifts available. Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend. Department-specific orientation consists of 2 shifts. Schedule determined by leadership based on departmental needs; block scheduling is challenging.
