Travel ER RN - $2,124 per week

Junxion Med Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN for an Emergency Department assignment in Saint Louis, Missouri. This 13-week assignment starts on September 8, 2026, with 36 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Manage patients presenting with conditions such as abdominal pain, acute psychosis, asthma, burns, CVA, drug overdose, gunshot wounds, head injury, hyperglycemia, seizures, sickle cell crisis, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, and more
• Perform procedures including chest tube insertion/management, central line care, intubation, phlebotomy, starting and maintaining IVs, and managing ventilated patients
• Administer and monitor blood products, continuous IV sedation, and procedural sedation
• Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and dysrhythmias, and manage dysrhythmias
• Apply and manage splints, IV vasopressors, and BiPAP/CPAP
• Obtain 12-lead EKG/ECG and interpret results
• Identify and report neglect or abuse, manage violent behavior, and handle psychiatric holds
• Triage patients, including those with mental/behavioral health conditions, respiratory infections, urinary tract infections, and skin disorders
• Follow isolation precautions/PPE and manage patients with infections
• Work in a combined adult/pediatric emergency department setting
• Experience with Epic charting system

Requirements

• 2 years of experience as an ER RN required; first-time travel nurses not accepted
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS (BCLS), NIHSS, PALS
• Certifications preferred: CPI, TNCC
• Travel experience required
• Must have facial hair that allows for proper fit testing or be willing to shave
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Licensing:
  • Missouri: Submit without license OK; requires MO or compact license (no issuance if tied to another compact state)
  • Illinois: License in hand required at time of submittal
  • Compact: Must match permanent residence; otherwise, submit for update and confirm ETA

Pay

Estimated weekly pay includes projected hourly wages and weekly meal and lodging per diems for eligible clinicians based on nationally published GSA rates. Actual weekly pay and per diems may differ and are subject to change during the assignment.
