About the Role

AMN Healthcare Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Houston, Texas. This role involves working in a busy emergency department with modern technology and a collaborative team environment at a 250-bed community hospital that is a certified Stroke center.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care in the Emergency Department
• Work 12-hour night shifts
• Utilize emergency response and patient assessment skills
• Collaborate with the healthcare team in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

• Active Texas or compact RN license
• 1 year of Emergency Room nursing experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
• Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification
• NIH Stroke Scale certification
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification - Blue Card required
• Work history should not have more than a 90-day gap in the last year
• SSN and DOB required for submission

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Meditech electronic medical record systems

Pay

Pay rate: $1998.00 - $2101.00 per week (based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week, with tax-free stipend amount to be determined).
