Travel Emergency Room RN - $2,664 per week

About the role

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for the Emergency Department in Greenbrae, California. This is a 13‑week travel assignment requiring 36 hours per week on 12‑hour evening shifts. The ideal candidate should have 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience and will work with a diverse team of caregivers to evaluate, triage, and implement care according to physician instructions.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, triage, and implement care using correct procedures and physician instructions
• Advise patients and family on illnesses or injuries
• Plan long‑term care needs
• Perform minor medical operations
• Document medical history
• Check for patient allergies
• Obtain patient vital signs
• Monitor patients' emotional and physical well‑being
• Provide basic bedside care
• Clean and bandage wounds
• Provide IV therapy
• Maintain supplies and medical equipment
• Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies
• Stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty
• Lift up to 20 pounds routinely; moving or lifting patients may require up to 50 pounds
• Cope with stress in a fast‑paced environment
• Relate to people of all ages and backgrounds

Requirements

• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• PALS certification
• NIH certification
• TNCC certification
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience (1‑2 years preferred)

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
