This position involves providing comprehensive emergency care for a diverse patient population, including stroke, abdominal pain, orthopedic injuries, and various other conditions. The role requires experienced ER nurses to support a busy, fast-paced environment with a wide range of emergency cases. Job Details Shift Time: Nights, 12-hour shifts, scheduled for 36 hours per week. Required Qualifications: Valid licensure to practice as a registered nurse, certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), COVID vaccine certification, and 3 years of ER experience. Preferred Qualifications: Level III trauma experience or above. Responsibilities: Deliver emergency care including trauma, stroke, and pediatric cases, utilizing Cerner (First Net) electronic medical records system. Support includes responding to a high patient volume, assisting with patient acuity, and handling emergency protocols. Additional Information: Must have 3-5 years of experience in a specialty ER setting. The unit handles approximately 100 patient visits daily and admits about 500-600 pediatric patients monthly. No float rotation required; orientation spans 2-3 days on the unit.
