The RN will be responsible for delivering comprehensive nursing care, supporting patient recovery, and ensuring adherence to all regulatory standards and safety protocols. Job Details Position Description: The RN protects, promotes, and optimizes health and abilities, prevention of illness and injury, and the alleviation of suffering through the diagnosis and treatment of human response and through advocacy in the care of individuals and families. The RN is responsible and accountable for compliance to all standards of practice and professional development in accordance with the New York State Nurse Practice Act, United Health Services and Nursing Division policies, ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, the Emergency Nursing Association Scope and Standards of Practice, the Code of Ethics for Nurses, and the Bill of Patient Rights. The RN promotes a caring and healing environment for patient-centered care. Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, every other weekend. Required Qualifications: Current New York State Registered Nurse License; BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross); ACLS Certification; PALS Certification; TNCC Certification; Associate's degree from an accredited school of Nursing. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing; Professional certification in a related nursing specialty. Additional Information: The RN assesses, plans, delegates, coordinates, implements, and evaluates nursing care in managing a group of patients. Responsibilities include educating patients and families, administering medications safely, and supporting professional development initiatives. The position requires collaboration, communication, judgement, critical thinking, and a commitment to quality and safety standards. The RN may assume additional responsibilities as assigned and performs duties related to the Charge Nurse or Shift Coordinator role when needed.
