Travel Emergency Room RN - $2,300 per week

About the role

Travel nurse RN Emergency Department position in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. 13‑week assignment, 36 hours per week, 12‑hour night shifts. Guaranteed 36 hours, start date 10/12.

Responsibilities

• Perform ED assessment, triage, and prioritization of patients across all acuity levels.
• Manage high‑acuity and critically ill patients, including cardiac emergencies, stroke, sepsis, respiratory failure, trauma, behavioral health, and pediatric cases.
• Initiate IVs, administer medications, perform cardiac monitoring, and respond to emergencies.
• Manage multiple patients with competing priorities.

Requirements

• 2+ years of RN experience.
• At least one prior travel assignment.
• Active Compact RN license.
• AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Recent EPIC experience.
• Strong tele‑interpretation skills.

Skills

• Strong ED assessment, triage, prioritization, and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Comfort managing high‑acuity and critically ill patients.
• IV initiation, medication administration, cardiac monitoring, emergency response.
• Ability to manage multiple patients with competing priorities.

Benefits

Pay

• Weekly gross: $2,300.20
• Weekly taxable: $1,033.20
• Weekly non‑taxable: $1,267.00
• Hourly taxable rate (up to 40 hrs): $28.70
• Overtime rate (after 40 hrs): $66.01

Schedule

• 36 hours per week, guaranteed.
• 12‑hour night shifts.
• Every 3rd weekend and every other holiday worked.
• Start date: 10/12; assignment length: 13 weeks.
