Travel Emergency Room RN - $2,220 per week

About the role

Emergency Room (ER) Nurse position available in an acute care facility. The role involves providing emergency patient care in a busy ER environment, managing a diverse patient population with common diagnoses such as chest pain, trauma, sepsis, and abdominal pain. Candidates will work rotating shifts to support operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency patient care in a busy ER with 33 beds (25 adult + 8 pediatric) and 2 trauma bays.
• Manage own ER holds; no separate psych/seclusion rooms.
• Handle approximately 70-85 patients per day with nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4.
• Work with equipment including vents, CPAP, BiPAP, high flow; RT handles ABGs and breathing treatments.
• Cross-trained in EKGs; share radiology transport duties.
• Rotate shifts: 12‑hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week; day shift 7 am‑7 pm, night shift 7 pm‑7 am with scheduled weekends and holidays.
• No call or standby requirements.
• Complete 1‑2 days of unit‑specific orientation.
• Adhere to unit notes: pass/fail exam during orientation, radius rule restrictions.
• Maintain valid driver’s license; artificial nails prohibited for patient care staff.
• Potential float rotation to pediatric ER.

Requirements

• Valid RN license to practice.
• BLS (American Heart Association)
• ACLS (American Heart Association)
• TNCC
• NIHSS
• PALS (American Heart Association)
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience

Qualifications
