Job Summary

The Emergency Room (ER) Nurse position in Breckenridge, Minnesota involves providing acute care in a fast-paced ER environment with a trauma level IV designation, STEMI receiving capabilities, and stroke designation. The selected candidate will deliver high-quality patient care within a dynamic team setting while adhering to facility and safety protocols.

Job Details

• Schedule: Rotating shifts of 12 hours, including day and night shifts, with every other weekend and holiday requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Certifications in BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale), TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
• Minimum of 2 years ER experience and previous Medsurg experience
• Minnesota state licensure

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in trauma and stroke centers preferred

Additional Information

• Unit is staffed with ED physicians and mid-level providers
• Nurses are required to read their own telemetry strips
• Equipment includes non-invasive respiratory support devices such as Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, etc., with RNs troubleshooting as needed
• Shifts are on a 12-hour rotation from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Orientation consists of 12-hour shifts
• The position requires upfront RTO approval with no additional RTO is permissible post-submission
• Candidate must meet radius restrictions and cannot be full-time, part-time, or PRN with associated facilities within the past year

Pay Package

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
