Requirements

• Active RN License
• BLS and ACLS required
• PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC preferred
• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips
• Copy of a valid, unexpired driver's license required with submission
• Must live outside the 50-mile radius rule
• No false nails permitted

Unit Highlights

• 32-bed Emergency Department
• Dedicated triage area
• Fast Track open daily from 11:00 AM–11:00 PM
• Typical patient population includes:
• Chest pain
• Respiratory failure
• Abdominal pain
• Pediatric patients (approximately 15%)
• Trauma stabilization
• Head injuries
• Major trauma patients are stabilized and transferred to a Level I Trauma Center
• Staffing & Ratios
• Main ED: 1:4
• Lower Acuity Area: 1:5
• Fast Track: 1:4–6
• Charge nurse without patient assignment
• Three ER Techs per shift
• Three ED physicians on-site during peak hours, plus NP/PA support

Schedule

• 12-hour shifts
• 6:15 AM–6:45 PM
• 11:00 AM–11:00 PM
• 6:15 PM–6:45 AM
• Every other weekend
• Holiday rotation with permanent staff
• No floating outside the Emergency Department
