Travel Emergency Room RN - $2,135 per week

Job Summary

Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) position in Baltimore, Maryland. This role involves providing specialized pediatric emergency care in a designated pediatric emergency department with comprehensive capabilities. The RN will manage a diverse patient population, including neonates through young adults, across a variety of medical and trauma specialties, ensuring high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule

Rotating shift times, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN License
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• At least 2 years of experience in Pediatric Emergency Room or Pediatric Psychiatry
• Experience with Electronic Patient Care Systems (EPIC) preferred
• Located in Maryland or willing to relocate

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system
• Previous work in pediatric trauma, neurology, neurosurgery, oncology, hematology, endocrine, genetics, pulmonary, cardiac, orthopedics, ophthalmology, general pediatric surgery, general pediatrics, rheumatology, psychiatry, gastrointestinal, urology, burns, or eye specialties

Additional Information

• The role requires familiarity with pediatric patient care for ages from newborns to 21 years and 364 days, with specific exception for young adults up to age 25 with pediatric oncology diagnoses.
• Pediatric trauma care is for patients up to age 14.
• Candidates with prior employment at any Johns Hopkins facility must have been employed for at least one full year outside of the hospital system before applying as a traveler.
• Proper verification of previous employment is required prior to offer acceptance.
