This role involves providing acute emergency care within a Level 2 Adult and Pediatric Trauma designated department, utilizing a team nursing approach, and managing a variety of critical and non-critical cases. The position requires maintaining current licensure and relevant certifications to ensure quality patient care. Job Details: Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per day, minimum of 36 hours per week. Required Qualifications: Valid Indiana or compact Registered Nurse (RN) license; minimum of 2 years experience in an Emergency Department (ER) setting; certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC). Preferred Qualifications: Strong trauma care experience, familiarity with team nursing concepts, and proficiency in EPIC charting and Pyxis medication administration. Additional Information: The ER features 40 patient rooms, including non-monitored and monitored rooms as well as resuscitation bays. Orientation is scheduled for Monday through Friday of the first week and Monday through Tuesday of the second week, with mandatory attendance for all seven days. The department follows a Team Nursing model to facilitate seamless patient care flow. Candidates should be prepared for potential floating to other units or departments as needed.
