Emergency Room Nurse position in Knoxville, Tennessee. This role involves providing high-quality patient care in an emergency department setting. The position requires the ability to manage diverse clinical situations efficiently, ensuring optimal patient outcomes during night shifts.
Schedule
- Nights shift, 12-hour shifts
- Minimum of 36 hours per week
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient care with a patient ratio of 4:1
- Handle variable patient volumes
- Maintain electronic medical records using CERNER
- Adhere to scrub color policy (royal blue)
Requirements
- Valid registered nurse (RN) licensure
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification prior to start date
- At least one year of emergency department experience
- Travel distance must be greater than 50 miles from the candidate’s permanent residence
Qualifications
Preferred certifications (required within 90 days of start):
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
