Travel Emergency Room RN - $2,009 per week

About the role

Travel nurse RN position in the Emergency Department (ED) in Baytown, Texas. Start date: October 19, 2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Hours: 36 per week, 12‑hour night shifts. Employment type: travel.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse team of caregivers to evaluate, triage, and implement care using correct procedures and physician instructions.
• Provide care for patients in a fast‑paced, urgent, and emergency environment.
• Perform minor medical operations.
• Advise patients and families on illnesses or injuries and plan long‑term care needs.
• Document medical history.
• Check for patient allergies.
• Obtain patient vital signs.
• Monitor patients’ emotional and physical well‑being.
• Provide basic bedside care.
• Clean and bandage wounds.
• Provide IV therapy.
• Maintain supplies and medical equipment.
• Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies.

Requirements

• 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience (ER/ED preferred).
• Current ACLS certification.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current PALS certification.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Skills

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds routinely; patient handling may require lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Good stress‑coping skills.
• Ability to relate to patients of all ages and backgrounds.
