TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for the Emergency Department in Tupelo, Mississippi. Specialty: ED - Emergency Department. Discipline: RN. Start date: December 2, 2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Employment type: Travel. The ideal candidate should have 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience. Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse team to evaluate, triage, and implement care using correct procedures and physician instructions.
• Provide care for patients in a fast‑paced, urgent, emergency environment.
• Perform minor medical operations.
• Advise patients and family on illnesses or injuries.
• Plan long‑term care needs.
• Document medical history.
• Check for patient allergies.
• Obtain patient vital signs.
• Monitor patients’ emotional and physical well‑being.
• Provide basic bedside care.
• Clean and bandage wounds.
• Provide IV therapy.
• Maintain supplies and medical equipment.
• Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies.
• Stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty.
• Lift up to 20 pounds routinely; moving or lifting patients may require up to 50 pounds.
• Cope with stress and relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.

Requirements

• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• PALS certification
• TNCC certification
• 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience (minimum 2 years preferred)
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning the assignment.
