Job Summary

Emergency Room (ER) Nurse located in Pulaski, VA. This position involves providing critical nursing care in a fast-paced emergency setting. The role requires a comprehensive skill set focused on triaging, stabilizing patients, and managing various acuities, including trauma and pediatric cases.

Schedule

• Evening shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Rotating weekends and on-call duties as needed

Required Qualifications

• Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Location in Pulaski, VA

Preferred Qualifications

• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN)

Unit Details

• Unit equipped with Glidescope, bedside ultrasound, EV1000, trauma room, psych-safe room
• Typical staff includes one charge nurse, four registered nurses, and one technician during day shifts; evening shifts typically have one charge nurse and one registered nurse after 1 am
• Patient ratios are 4:1 unless in the lower acuity Fast Track area
• Navy blue scrub dress code
• Specific policies regarding exposed tattoos and natural hair color
