Travel Emergency RN - $2,135 per week

About the role

Travel nursing assignment in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma for an Emergency Department (ED) Registered Nurse (RN). Assignment duration is 13 weeks with a schedule of 36 hours per week, 12-hour day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care under general supervision to patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex.
• Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients.
• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments; note all changes in physician orders.
• Assist physicians in patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures/treatments.
• Obtain and monitor physiological data, observe patient manifestations, and intervene as necessary.
• Administer medication as prescribed; initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products.
• Deliver patient care competently and interact with patients and families to share care plans, including discharge planning.
• Inform patients and families of hospital procedures and make referrals for patient care needs.
• Delegate tasks to support staff as appropriate.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
