About the role
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Emergency Department in Asheville, NC. This role requires a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively within a team to provide emergency services to patients, utilizing advanced nursing practices and protocols.
Responsibilities
- Assess and prioritize patient conditions based on established protocols.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement effective care plans.
- Perform nursing procedures and administer medications as required.
- Document patient care accurately and timely using Cerner documentation system.
- Provide education and support to patients and families regarding health issues.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an Emergency Department setting.
- Current RN license in the state of North Carolina.
- ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS certifications required prior to start date.
- Experience in a Level 2 trauma center or comprehensive stroke center preferred.
Schedule
- 13-week contract position.
- 36 hours per week.
- Shift: 12 hours, days (6:45 AM - 7:15 PM).
