Travel Emergency Dept RN - $2,009 per week

About the Role

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN for the Emergency Department (ED) in Overland Park, Kansas. This is a 13-week assignment starting on 08/31/2026, with 36 hours per week on 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients with various types of illness or trauma requiring emergency attention.
• Recognize and effectively treat life-threatening conditions.
• Assess, intervene, and stabilize patients with a range of trauma and illnesses.
• Prioritize injuries based on medical need through proper triage understanding.
• Make quick and accurate assessments of incoming patients, including physical and mental health conditions.

Requirements

• Active RN License.
• Degree from an accredited nursing program.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC may be required in some positions.
• Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care Emergency Room setting.
• Additional requirements to be determined by the client facility.

• Knowledgeable about general and specific health issues relevant to emergency care.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
