About the role
This is a 13-week travel contract position for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room (ER) on the night shift (7 PM - 7 AM). The role involves providing routine and complex care, working toward long-range goals, and managing clinical contingencies.
Responsibilities
- Practice in accordance with OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
- Deliver nursing care using the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
- Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
- Administer medications and treatments according to protocols; monitor side effects and effectiveness.
- Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided.
- Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers.
- Identify issues and resources for patients and families.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (preferred).
- 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty (preferred).
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA only).
- TNCC certification (preferred).
- Current RN License in Texas or a compact state.

Pay
Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
Schedule
- 12-hour night shifts: 7 PM - 7 AM.
