About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel contract in Corpus Christi, TX. This unit features 16 beds with an additional 8 hall chairs, providing low acuity care for ESI levels 4 and 5, with potential for ESI 3 and 6. The nursing staff works collaboratively with a focus on compassion, urgency, and teamwork to deliver high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and document findings.
• Administer medications and provide wound care and splinting as needed.
• Perform IV starts, urine collections, and lab draws.
• Deliver care to patients with varying acuity levels (ESI 1 through 5).
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in mandatory shift huddles to discuss patient care strategies.

Requirements

• Valid RN license.
• ACLS and BLS certifications (required); TNCC, ENPC, or PALS (preferred).
• 2+ years of experience in an emergency department setting (highly desirable).
• CEN or TCRN certifications (a plus).

Schedule

• 12-hour shifts, days (7A - 7P).
• 36 hours per week.
