About the role
HealthTrust Workforce Solutions is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a 13-week assignment in Danville, Virginia.
Responsibilities
- Provide emergency care to patients as needed
- Admit patients as necessary using the EMAR system
- Work with behavioral health patients as required
- Manage patient ratios of 1:4, with exceptions on high-volume days
- Utilize Primarily MedHost (ED) and Meditech systems
- Report to Ashlee Compton BSN, RN, Director of Emergency Services
- Serve all age groups
Requirements
- Current RN license in good standing
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Experience in an Emergency Department setting preferred
Qualifications
- Passing scores on the NCLEX-RN
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Skills
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Knowledge of EHR systems
