About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for our Emergency Department. The RN will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, managing emergencies, and working collaboratively within a dynamic team of healthcare professionals in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department.
• Perform nursing assessments and develop patient care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Utilize applicable equipment and facilities to provide care.
• Document patient care and responses in electronic health records (EMR Meditech).
• Assist with various procedures such as intubations, lac repairs, and sutures.

Requirements

• Current RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification – must have by start date.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification – must have by start date.
• National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification – preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.

Schedule

• Shift: 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM, 12 hours, days.
• 36 hours per week.
• Rotating weekends required.
