About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for our Emergency Department. The RN will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, managing emergencies, and working collaboratively within a dynamic team of healthcare professionals in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department.
- Perform nursing assessments and develop patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes.
- Utilize applicable equipment and facilities to provide care.
- Document patient care and responses in electronic health records (EMR Meditech).
- Assist with various procedures such as intubations, lac repairs, and sutures.
Requirements
- Current RN license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification – must have by start date.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification – must have by start date.
- National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification – preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.
Schedule
- Shift: 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM, 12 hours, days.
- 36 hours per week.
- Rotating weekends required.
