Licensure

Must have an active WV license in hand to start the assignment. Pending state license accepted for submission.

Skills and Qualifications

• Skills required include 3D imaging, accurate monitoring, arrhythmia induction, baseline measurements, cardiac ablation, cardiac mapping, cardioversion, circulation procedures, conduction studies, electrophysiology (EP) lab, electrophysiology evaluation, fluoroscopy, insertion/programming of AICDs, isolation precautions/PPE, lead tech experience, LAA closure, pacemaker insertion, perform EKG lead placement, permanent pacemaker insertion, Philips equipment usage, prep access site, recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias, room circulator, scrub procedures, scrub maintaining sterile field, sterile technique, temporary pacemaker, use of rapid response/code teams, and Watchman.

Leadership Experience

Previous charge experience not explicitly required.

Additional Requirements

• Minimum of 2 manager and/or charge nurse references from the past 2 years.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (if required by the unit) must be through the American Heart Association (AHA).

Travel and Compliance

• Candidates must have a permanent address 100 miles from the facility. Candidates between 75-100 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
• Former permanent employees must wait 2 years from the last permanent employment date before returning as a traveler.
