Travel Electrical Superintendent

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to lead field operations on large-scale Mission Critical and Data Center construction projects across the United States. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of electrical construction, including safety, quality, scheduling, manpower, and subcontractor coordination, while ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. The ideal candidate has extensive experience managing electrical installations on ground-up data center or mission critical facilities, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is willing to travel 100% to project locations nationwide.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise all field electrical operations on mission critical and data center construction projects.
  • Manage and coordinate field crews, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure safe and efficient project execution.
  • Plan daily and weekly work activities to meet project schedules and milestones.
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, and electrical plans to ensure proper installation.
  • Cook up with Project Managers, General Contractors, Engineers, and Owners throughout the construction process.
  • Ensure compliance with NEC, OSHA, and company safety standards.
  • Conduct daily safety meetings, toolbox talks, and jobsite inspections.
  • Maintain quality control standards and ensure installations meet project specifications.
  • Support project commissioning, startup, and final turnover activities.
  • Prepare daily reports, progress updates, and field documentation.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in electrical construction.
  • 3+ years of experience as an Electrical Superintendent or Lead Superintendent.
  • Mission Critical and/or Data Center construction experience is required.
  • Experience managing ground-up commercial or industrial electrical projects.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC, OSHA regulations, and electrical construction best practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Proven experience leading multiple electrical crews and coordinating subcontractors.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with Procore, Bluebeam, BIM, or similar construction management software is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Journeyman or Master Electrician License.
  • OSHA 30 Certification.
  • NFPA 70E Certification.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification.
  • Experience with hyperscale data centers.
  • Experience with commissioning and turnover processes.

Travel Requirements

  • 100% nationwide travel is required.
  • Must be willing to work extended schedules, including overtime, weekends, and rotational assignments as project demands require.
  • Travel accommodations and per diem provided in accordance with company policy.
