Travel EEG Technologist - $1,830 per week

Job Summary

The organization is seeking a Registered Electroencephalogram (EEG) Technician in Oak Lawn, Illinois. The position involves performing electroencephalogram procedures with an emphasis on neonatal and neurological patient care. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment. This role operates during daytime hours with a weekly minimum of 40 hours.

Job Details

  • Location: Oak Lawn, Illinois

  • Schedule: 8-hour days, with weekend rotation every weekend required.

Required Qualifications

  • BLS certification

  • EEG certification (unless grandfathered in from experience)

  • At least 2 years of experience in EEG technology, neonatal experience, electrode placement, patient prepping, recording and measuring electrical activity, pattern recognition, head wrapping for continuous EEG

  • Proficiency with Nihon Kohden software is required

  • Epic EMR experience is preferred

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Nihon Kohden software and Epic electronic health record system

Additional Information

  • No floating required, except to ICU

  • Orientation includes one shift on the unit

  • Candidates with 0 years of experience are not eligible, and candidates with 1 year of experience will not be accepted

  • The candidate must be available to work during holiday shifts if they fall on scheduled workdays

  • Support on the Unit: Other EEG technologists will be available. There will be support from respiratory therapy teams, EEG supervisors, and public safety officials
