Travel ED Boarder RN - $1,930 per week

About the role

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Boston, Massachusetts. They are looking for Medical Surgical RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening in Boston, MA. The right RN should have 1-2 years recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and prioritize data collection based on patients' immediate conditions or needs.
• Perform ongoing assessments and appropriate treatments as ordered by a physician.
• Document patient findings and provide education and support to patients' families.
• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op patients.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare equipment and aid physician during examination and treatment of patient.
• Educate patients on surgical procedures.
• Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education plan as prescribed by physician.
• Stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean and stoop without difficulty.
• Easily lift 20 pounds; moving or lifting of patients may require lifting of up to 50 pounds at times.
• Work in a fast-paced environment treating patients that may be confused, agitated, and/or uncooperative.

Requirements

• BLS certification
• 1-2 years recent acute care experience (approximately 2 years)
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

Start date: 11/02/2026; Duration: 13 weeks; Hours per week: 36; Shift: 12 hours, rotating.
