About the role
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with a minimum of 2 years of experience and ARDMS certification for a 13-week travel contract.
Responsibilities
- Work settings include adult acute care, adult outpatient, ER, and ICU
- Adult echo procedures include 2-D Echo, 3-D Echo, Bubble Study, Color Doppler, Imaging with Contrast Agents, Pharmacologic Stress Echo, TEE, and Treadmill Stress Echo
- Calculations include Simpson's Rule, Diastology, LV Strain/LV Volume, and Proximal Isovelocity Surface Area (PISA)
- Equipment used includes GE, Hitachi, Philips, Siemens, SonoSite, and Toshiba systems, as well as PACSEMR system is Epic (required) and Change Healthcare
- Schedule is 5x8-hour day shifts, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a cardiac sonographer required
- Current BLS and ARDMS certification required
- Active professional license required if applicable
- Proficiency with TTE and Stress Echo required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must be willing and able to float between facilities within the state
- A minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting are required for consideration
Qualifications
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
Skills
- Experience with various echo equipment
- Knowledge of cardiac sonography techniques
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Benefits
Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
