Travel Echo Technician - $1,788 per week

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Echo Technician for a travel job in Kansas City, Missouri. We are looking for an Echocardiogram Technologist (Echo Tech) for an immediate travel opening. The role involves performing echocardiographic studies, ensuring image accuracy, preparing and caring for patients, and reporting findings to physicians.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and/or patient's family regarding procedures performed
• Demonstrate competence in performance of echocardiographic studies
• Consistently perform quality Doppler and color Doppler exams
• Acquire quality Stress Echo and Dobutamine images according to physician and benchmark standards
• Perform quality transesophageal echocardiograms according to physician expectations
• Demonstrate understanding of cardiac disease processes and acquired images
• Report findings or concerns to reading physician for prompt interpretation
• Perform all related processing required for each completed study
• Maintain equipment including cleaning and disinfecting according to department procedure and identifying problems with equipment and reporting appropriately
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as an Echo Technologist
• Current BLS certification
• ARDMS‑RDCS or CCI‑RS national certification (state‑specific licensing when required)
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
