About the role

The current client in Omaha, NE is seeking a traveling Interventional Radiographer to work as an Interventional Radiographer responsible for a variety of complex specialized tasks involving operating radiographic equipment to perform vascular and neuroradiology angiographic and interventional procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Develop and maintain skills in various clinical systems including McKesson RIS, Physician Portal, PCM, PMM, Kronos, PACS, PHS, and Teletrak.
  • Maintain equipment performance to specifications.
  • Aid the supervisor in ensuring adequate supply levels for patient care.
  • Capture relevant exam information at the time of the exam.
  • Assist radiologists in performing exams while providing clinical excellence.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as Interventional Radiographer.
  • Independent decision-making skills.
  • Strong understanding of patient safety and precautions.
  • Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients, and families.
  • Ability to relate positively to residents and families and work cooperatively with other employees.
  • Regular attendance and ability to maintain physical and sensory requirements (walking, reaching, climbing, bending, lifting, grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing and pulling, hearing, reading, writing, communicating).
  • Pass successful health assessment and meet local health regulations.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience as an Interventional Radiographer.

Pay

The pay package is based on 10 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
